Bloodvein Bannock (as related by Yvonne Young)
- 5 Cups of flour
- 2 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup shortening or lard at room temperature
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl while cutting in shortening with knives or a pastry cutter. Keep in sealed containers. May be frozen.
